Shelby Willis is an Edmonton born artist; she grew up east of the City and currently resides in Edmonton. In addition to being an artist Shelby also works in environmental sustainability. She is a self-taught artist and brings her passion for wildlife and nature to life in soulful spirit animal renditions.

Although Shelby has been painting all of her life, her work as an artist truly blossomed when she discovered the art of intuitive painting, and relaxed her expectations for perfection. With each brushstroke, Shelby pours energy into the layers that make up her paintings. Each piece is a journey of its own, as she works through a chaotic mixture of colors and marks to bring her work to life. Her choice of medium is acrylic and she paints on a wide variety of sizes of stretched canvas and birch wood panels
